I am doing a pre- counseling course, here we are prepared for the real counseling world so on a weekly basis we do a mock counseling session and these sessions are recorded.
Each week we have different TA’s supervise us including my Professor. Each time they had to evaluate my performance there has been this common phrase “ you have a non- anxious presence”
I did not fully understand it till yesterday when another TA related the same thing and said “ the presence you have is one of ease such that clients will be very free and comfortable to unload their issues and burdens to you, that is such a great strength and people really do need that today”.
It was then I decided to see if I could find any info about this particular phrase, sure I found so much on the internet.
For me to have a non- anxious presence with all I have been through can only be God. Truly we need a non – anxious presence in a world full of anxiety can only be God.
Cease to worry , cease to be anxious because anxiety can not solve anything, it actually make things worse.
Lord I am grateful for giving me peace in the midst of the storm. Thank you for giving me calmness even when I don’t have it all together.
Getting ready to see how far He will take me in this journey but one thing I know for sure is that there is a purpose in every pain….
A NON – ANXIOUS PRESENCE IN A WORLD FULL OF ANXIETY IS TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD.
IT TAKES JUST ONE PERSON!
Maybe you are in a situation right now that you are wondering if you can ever rise again, you think your fallen state is permanent and can never be restored. I have a story for you!!!
See you need to get to a point that you will make up your mind that whether people believe in you or not, YOU WILL RISE. IT TAKES ONLY ONE PERSON TO BELIEVE IN YOU!!! THAT PERSON IS YOU,YES ,YOU.
Or have you struggled with purpose for a long time and asking if you can ever get in line?
At a point when the Lord was reminding me about what He told me to do, I questioned it. I even went to the extent of giving Him deadlines, God if you do not do this , I won’t do that. I was like God, who will ever listen to me? People had made up their minds about me because of my circumstance, they had judged me that I couldn’t make a difference again in my calling, I heard them, I saw them, and I perceived all their antics but when He says yes no one can say no.
But until the day I made up my mind to RISE nothing happened.
Nothing will happen until you RISE.
Nothing will happen until you learn to pick up those broken pieces of your life and turn them over to God.
Nothing will happen until you decide to close your eyes and ears to all negativity around you.
Nothing will happen until you decide THAT NO ONE, NO ONE HAS THE FINAL SAY IN YOUR LIFE EXCEPT GOD.
So I ROSE. I am not there yet but amazing is what I can describe this journey with my Father so far.
You too can RISE, you can THRIVE, just believe in your PURPOSE. That one thing no one can take away from you EXCEPT YOU!!!
