Still on the story of Joseph. In Gen.39, we see that the butler and the baker offended Pharaoh and were sent to the prison ( divine orchestration), the time to remember Joseph had come and God causes a stir in the palace to prepare the ground for Joseph’s entry into the palace.
Now I am wondering if at some point in Joseph’s life in the prison he had thought the warden was the only one who had the power to help him get out of the prison. Maybe he had thought that if he did all his work diligently in the prison, the warden ( who had taken note of him) would one day speak for him to be released. At that point in the physical, it looked like only the warden had the power to help him.
Many times in our lives too we lose sight of who God will use to help us. At times we think our help will come from those who have great names, who are popular or who we believe have the power. Unfortunately, God doesn’t work the way we work, He doesn’t think the way we think, His ways are past finding out and His plans no man can comprehend. At times we miss our helpers because we underrate them, at times we miss our helpers because we maltreat them thinking help cannot come from them.
Naaman, 2 Kings 5 ( remember it was his captive househelp from Israel who told him to go meet Elisha in Israel)the Syrian army almost lost his miracle because he just couldn’t obey simple instructions. Ruth ( Ruth 1) could have lost her place if she thought less of Naomi.
NEBER UNDERESTIMATE WHO GOD CAN USE TO HELP YOU.
We look for the high and mighty but God may use ( most time He works that way) people that are most unlikely to lift us up.
ARE YOU OVERLOOKING PEOPLE?
DO YOU TAKE PEOPLE FOR GRANTED?
DO YOU UNDERRATE PEOPLE?
DO YOU DISRESPECT PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU THINK THEY ARE NOT ON YOUR LEVEL?
WATCHOUT!!!
You may be overlooking your butler.
You may be taking your butler for granted.
Remember Joseph showed respect to everyone.
Remember Joseph showed concern for everyone.
Remember Joseph took note of others’ needs.
