Divorce was never an option for anyone when they entered into marriage. Why does it seem like these group of people have no place in the Church? Why are they so stigmatized like they are the worst of greatest sinners?Why does it seem like they have no voice? Why does it seem like they can never be forgiven? Why does it seem like they can NEVER fulfill God’s call anymore? Are we now in the place of God to give judgement?Where are the adulterers, the lairs, the fornicators, the pretenders and the abusers? Must these people always wear the scarlet “D” on their necks ? They do not belong among st the married, not among the singles, no single recovery help for these ones but condemnation. Where is then ” I will have mercy and not sacrifice”? Can we stop for once and see the pain, the hurt, the disappointments, the aches, some are depressed , some have attempted suicide because of the CHURCH condemnation. Some have been told they can never be God has called them to be. From the altar where love should be preached, hate, segregation, condemnation have come on these people. We applaud the abusers and yet condemn the abused, we applaud those who choose to die in their marriages and we condemn those who choose to live.Yes, we can say did they not see it coming, yes, we can say did not not see the red flags? But can you trully say it was or is by your own self righteousness that yours is working or has worked out? Hey, it was His grace, and it does not mean these people are loved less, infact some of them are God’s chosen. Can we for once see through the hearts of these people, understand their heart cry and stop and think and see how we can help them to RECOVERY. I am just tired of all these stories of beloved children of God i hear and see daily and their complain is always about the hate preached in churches against them. Sorry my heart aches.
